We read everything that arrives. Most replies go out within a few days, and questions about zero waste living or a specific upcycling project get the longest answers.

We do not have a phone line. Email is the only way to reach us, and it is the fastest. If your question touches a guide we have already published, tell us which one so we can point you to the right section instead of repeating it back.

Corrections and updates
If a guide is wrong, tell us first
If a guide has a mistake, a broken link, or a rule that has changed, say so. Council collection rules change more often than almost anything else on this site, and we rely on readers to flag it.
Corrections are usually published in the next update to the guide itself, not as a separate note, so the fix lands where you would actually look for it.

Getting there
Nearest Underground and rail connections are Southgate and Oakwood, both a short bus ride away. Street parking near the studio is limited on weekdays, so public transport is easier.

Press, permissions and how we work
Four things worth knowing before you send a message, so you know what kind of reply to expect from us.
Press and permission to reproduce content
For press enquiries or permission to reproduce content, email us with the details. We usually say yes to reuse with a link back and no edits. We do not allow republishing full guides on other sites, because that splits the corrections across the internet and the version people find can go stale.
What we do not do
We do not run sponsored posts, paid product reviews or brand partnerships. We do not consult on household waste for a fee. If you need a commercial service, a local refill shop or a waste contractor will serve you better, and we are happy to say so. We do answer questions about anything we have written, including the awkward ones where a swap did not work in your kitchen.
When we reply
Most messages get a reply within a few days. If you have asked something a guide already covers, we will usually point you to the right page rather than retype it. If your question is not covered anywhere, we may turn it into a guide. In that case we will not publish your name or your email address.
What to send with a project idea
Ideas for simple upcycling projects are welcome. Tell us what the item is, roughly how long the job took, what tools you had, and what went wrong on the first attempt. Those details are what make an idea worth publishing, because the failures are usually more useful to a beginner than the finished result.

Do you reply to every message?
Most, within a few days. We read everything, even when a reply is just a pointer to a guide that already answers it.
Can I visit the studio?
Yes, by arrangement. Email first and we will find a time that fits around the writing and testing we do during the day.
Do you offer consultations?
No. We answer questions by email, but we do not do paid consulting on household waste.
